India's men's and women's archery teams have secured direct berths in the quarterfinals of the Paris 2024 Olympics. The men's team, featuring Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav, finished third in the Men's Archery Ranking Round with 2013 points. Dhiraj Bommadevara expressed satisfaction with their preparation over the past two years, citing they are on track for a medal.

Similarly, the women's team, consisting of Bhajan Kaur, Deepika Kumari, and Ankita Bhakat, qualified directly for the quarterfinals by securing a fourth-place finish with 1983 points. Ankita Bhakat and Bhajan Kaur shared their optimism about their performance and the competition ahead. The archers, including Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Rai, will compete in the individual ranking rounds on July 25.

Beyond archery, India will be represented by a robust contingent led by Olympic champions and notable athletes in various sports. The 29-member athletics team is headlined by javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra. Additionally, a 21-member shooting team, the largest in India's Olympic history, and other sports like badminton, boxing, and weightlifting add to the contingent.
