Simone Biles has submitted an original skill on uneven bars ahead of the Paris Olympics, which will be her sixth move named after her and first on bars if successfully completed.

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) stated that the new skill, a clear hip circle forward with 1.5 turns to handstand, is a variation of an element named for Canadian gymnast Wilhelm Weiler and has been awarded a difficulty value of E on a scale from A to J, translating to a difficulty score of 0.5.

The four-time Olympic champion already has five elements named after her, including two vaults, two tumbling skills on floor exercise, and a balance beam dismount. Only retired Soviet and Belarusian gymnast Nellie Kim has more skills named after her, with seven.

Biles is the fourth woman aiming to have a new element named after her at the Paris Games, with competitions beginning on Sunday with qualifications. Brazilian Rebeca Andrade will attempt a new vault to defend her gold medal from the Tokyo Games, while Dutch gymnasts Naomi Visser and Lieke Wevers aim to complete a triple-turn move on floor exercise.
