Indian-Americans Shine at 3M Open: Theegala Tied-Fourth, Bhatia Tied-23rd

Indian-American golfer Sahith Theegala positioned himself at tied-fourth with a 12-under score in the 3M Open, achieving rounds of 66-69-66. Akshay Bhatia, another Indian-American, was tied-23rd at 7-under. Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas led with a 16-under total. Maverick McNealy and Patrick Fishburn also performed strongly, both achieving 63 shots.

Indian-American golfer Sahith Theegala positioned himself strongly in the 3M Open, currently tied-fourth with a cumulative 12-under score following rounds of 66-69-66.

Another Indian-American, Akshay Bhatia, is tied-23rd at 7-under, with rounds of 70-69-67.

Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas took an impressive lead with a 16-under 197 total at TPC Twin Cities, securing first place. The 39-year-old birdied six of the final eight holes for an 8-under 63, edging ahead of Matt Kuchar by one stroke.

Kuchar, 46, also shot an outstanding 63, managing an eagle from 30 yards on the par-5 18th. Maverick McNealy closely followed with another 63, and Patrick Fishburn, who also shot 63, was four strokes back at 12-under, tying with Theegala.

Cam Davis, Adam Svensson, and Matt NeSmith were five shots back at 11-under.
