The 26-year-old Indian number one suffered a 2-6, 6-2, 5-7 defeat in a match that spanned 2 hours and 28 minutes.

After each player won a set with identical 6-2 scorelines, the match went into a decisive third set that lasted 65 minutes, where Frenchman Moutet ultimately emerged victorious.
