India Shines at Paris Olympics: Bhaker and Singh Secure Spot in Bronze Medal Match
India's Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh clinched third place in the 10m air pistol mixed team qualification at the Paris Olympics 2024, securing a spot in the bronze medal match against South Korea. Despite a strong start, Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema finished tenth, missing out on the medals.

India's shooting campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024 received a boost as Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh secured third place in the 10m air pistol mixed team qualification, earning a spot in the bronze medal match. The duo scored a total of 580-20x points, edging out fourth-placed South Korea who scored 579-18x points. The gold medal match will see Turkiye pitted against Serbia.
In the mixed team 10m air pistol qualification, each team member shot 30 shots within 30 minutes, with each series comprising 10 shots per player. The top four teams advanced to the medal rounds. Bhaker and Singh's consistent performance was crucial in their qualification.
Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema started strong but eventually finished tenth with a score of 576-14x, missing out on the medal round. Earlier, Bhaker had secured India's first shooting medal in the ongoing Olympics by winning bronze in the women's 10m air pistol event, marking a significant comeback after her Tokyo mishap.
