Young India batter Rinku Singh emerged as the star in the third and final T20 International against Sri Lanka, albeit in a different role as a bowler. With Sri Lanka needing just nine runs off 12 deliveries, skipper Suryakumar Yadav handed the ball to Singh, who rose to the challenge.

In a single over, the 26-year-old off-spinner claimed two wickets, conceding just three runs and dismissing Kusal Perera and Ramesh Mendis. The match proceeded to a Super Over, where India eventually secured the win.

Rinku later revealed that he had been notified by Surya to be ready to bowl if required. Surya's decision was praised by both teammates and India's bowling coach, Sairaj Bahutule, for his clever and brave captaincy.
