Borussia Dortmund Bolsters Midfield with Pascal Gross Signing

Borussia Dortmund has signed German midfielder Pascal Gross from Brighton, enhancing their midfield strength. Gross, with 228 English Premier League appearances, joins on a two-year contract. He has been a lifelong Dortmund fan and aims to contribute significantly. Gross is the third new signing for Dortmund this offseason.

Champions League runner-up Borussia Dortmund has strengthened its midfield by signing German midfielder Pascal Gross from Brighton.

Gross exits the English Premier League after a seven-year stint, amassing 228 appearances, ranking third for a German player. He joins Dortmund on a two-year contract, fulfilling a childhood dream of playing for his favorite club.

'I'm delighted to be a Borussia Dortmund player,' Gross stated. 'Signing for this club is monumental for me, having been a fan since my youth. I'll repay the club's faith by giving my best performance on the field.'

Before becoming an international player last year, the 33-year-old Gross was relatively unknown in Germany. His domestic career includes only 70 top-flight games, the last in 2016-17 for Ingolstadt before their Bundesliga relegation.

Gross is Dortmund's third summer acquisition, following defender Waldemar Anton and striker Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart. He has earned eight caps for Germany since his debut in September 2023 and appeared in the opening game of Euro 2024.
