Ravichandran Ashwin's exceptional performance powered Dindigul Dragons to their maiden Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) title with a convincing six-wicket victory over Lyca Kovai Kings on Sunday.
Facing the defending champions in the final, Dindigul Dragons successfully chased down the target of 130 runs, with Ashwin scoring a pivotal 46-ball 52 and participating in a crucial 65-run partnership with Baba Indrajith.
The Dindigul bowlers delivered disciplined spells, constantly taking wickets to keep the pressure on Lyca, who were restricted to 129/7. Varun Chakravarthy and P Vignesh were the standout performers with the ball.
