Swapnil Kusale, India's bronze medalist in the 50m rifle 3 positions event at the Paris Olympics, received a rousing reception upon his return on Thursday. The shooter, who hails from Kolhapur, expressed deep gratitude towards his family and coaches, crediting their sacrifices for his success.

Kusale, one of only two individual shooting medalists for India at the Paris Games, visited the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple to seek blessings. He emphasized that his medal belonged to the entire country, particularly Maharashtra, and praised the support from the government and national federation.

During a media interaction at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune, Kusale shared his journey and future aspirations, highlighting the hard work and pressure management that has defined his career. He also expressed empathy for fellow athlete Vinesh Phogat, who faced disqualification, and acknowledged the crucial support from the Indian government.
