Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik formally congratulated the Indian men's hockey team for their bronze medal victory at the Paris Olympics via video conference.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who announced a lucrative cash reward of Rs 4 crore for Amit Rohidas and smaller rewards for other players and support staff, engaged in telephonic conversations with the team.

During the video call, Patnaik expressed his pride in the team, while the players chanted 'Jai Jagannath' in appreciation of his support for hockey. Majhi praised Rohidas and others, viewing their success as a source of pride for Odisha and the nation.
