Neeraj Chopra Sets a New Milestone with Olympic Silver

Neeraj Chopra has once again made history by becoming the first Indian track-and-field athlete to win two successive Olympic medals. He clinched a silver in the men's javelin throw event at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Leading the commendations, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge took to social media platform X to applaud Chopra's phenomenal achievement. ''Once a champion, always a champion! Congratulations, @Neeraj_chopra1, on your remarkable accomplishment,'' he posted.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also lauded Chopra, stating, ''Your spectacular performance has made India immensely proud.'' Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97m, overshadowing Chopra's impressive 89.45m effort that secured him the second position.
