Hossler's Near-Historic Performance Despite Rain Delays at Wyndham Championship

Beau Hossler delivered an impressive 10-under 60 on Friday during the rain-affected Wyndham Championship, coming close to a sub-60 round but settling for pars in his last three holes at Sedgefield Country Club. Hossler's performance grants him a two-stroke lead over Billy Horschel.

Starting a day late due to Tropical Storm Debby, Hossler made a tap-in eagle on the par-5 fifth hole and accumulated birdies across nine other holes. Even as conditions permitted players to lift, clean, and place their balls, Hossler dominated, especially with his mid-irons. His accuracy set him just a stroke shy of the course record.

Entering the final event of the PGA Tour regular season, Hossler stands 87th in the FedEx Cup standings and needs to finish third or better to qualify for the playoffs. Meanwhile, Horschel and other competitors continue striving for top placements as darkness extends Friday's round to Saturday.
