The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is taking additional time to decide on Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat's appeal against her disqualification from the women's 50kg freestyle final at the Olympic Games. The decision has now been pushed to August 13.

Phogat, 29, was disqualified for being 100 grams overweight during the weigh-in on Wednesday. Initially, the Indian Olympic Association announced that the verdict would be out this evening, but later corrected it to August 13.

The CAS ad-hoc division had accepted Phogat's appeal on Friday. Represented by senior advocates Harish Salve and Vidushpat Singhania, Phogat is seeking to be awarded a joint silver medal with Cuban wrestler Yusneylis Guzman Lopez. American Sarah Hildebrandt won the gold after defeating Lopez in the final.
