Manchester United's Injury Woes: Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro Updates
Manchester United left back Luke Shaw will miss the start of the Premier League season due to a calf injury. Shaw is working on his recovery and aims to return after the first international break. New signing Leny Yoro will be out for three months following foot surgery.
Manchester United will kick off the new Premier League season without left back Luke Shaw, who has been sidelined due to a calf injury, the club confirmed on Tuesday. The 29-year-old England international sustained the injury at the commencement of pre-season training.
The team stated that Shaw is rigorously working on his rehabilitation, targeting a return to action post the first international break. Meanwhile, French centre back Leny Yoro, 18, who recently joined United, is expected to be out for around three months following successful foot surgery, a development initially announced in August.
United is set to begin its campaign with a home match against Fulham on Friday.
