Lord's, known as the 'home of cricket,' is set to host its first-ever Women's Test match between India and England in 2026, the ECB announced on Thursday.
The historic event follows India's 2025 white-ball tour of England, which includes a five-match T20 series and a three-match ODI series. The ECB confirmed that after facing England in July 2025, India Women will return for a one-off Test in 2026.
Richard Gould, CEO of the ECB, emphasized the significance of the occasion, stating, "India Women will return in 2026 to take on England Women in the first-ever women's Test match at Lord's. It will be a truly special occasion." England Women have hosted white-ball matches at Lord's for the past three years, but this marks the ground's debut in Women's Test cricket.
