Former top-ranked T20 international batter, Dawid Malan, has announced his retirement from international cricket, according to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday. The 37-year-old left-hander played 30 ODIs and 62 T20Is for England, last appearing in November during the 50-over World Cup.

During his career, Roehampton-born Malan achieved six centuries in ODIs and one each in T20Is and tests, becoming one of only two England men's cricketers to score centuries in all three formats alongside Jos Buttler. Reflecting on his career, Malan thanked the coaches, staff, and teammates who supported him since his debut in July 2017.

Rob Key, England's managing director of men's cricket, highlighted Malan's integral role in England's T20 World Cup triumph in 2022, praising his tenacity and achievements on the international stage as a lasting legacy.
