Bournemouth Goalkeeper Neto Joins Arsenal on Loan
Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto has joined Arsenal on a season-long loan, filling the void left by Aaron Ramsdale's move to Southampton. Neto, who has played for top clubs like Juventus, Valencia, and Barcelona, views this as a dream come true. He will serve as a backup goalkeeper for Arsenal.
Bournemouth's goalkeeper Neto has officially joined Arsenal on a season-long loan, as announced by the Premier League club on Friday. The move comes after England's keeper Aaron Ramsdale completed his transfer to Southampton.
Neto, who has previously played for renowned clubs like Juventus, Valencia, and Barcelona, has made a significant mark with 61 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth since his transfer in 2022.
Expressing his joy, Neto said, "I'm realising a dream in my life, a dream come true, and I'm really, really happy. I had two dreams as a kid: to play for my local team in Brazil where I became a professional footballer, and to play for Arsenal. Now, I'm realising it. I'm a really lucky person."
Neto will serve as the backup goalkeeper for Arsenal, with David Raya expected to be the first choice under Mikel Arteta's management. Arsenal, last season's runner-ups, host Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, but Neto will not be eligible for that game. He is set to join the squad next week.
