Star India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal commended Bangladesh's performance ahead of their Test and ODI series, highlighting their recent victories over Pakistan. He expressed excitement about the upcoming matches, emphasizing his focus on improving his skills and maintaining consistency. India's series against Bangladesh starts on September 19.

Star India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal praised Bangladesh's cricket team ahead of the upcoming Test and ODI series, acknowledging their impressive recent form. Bangladesh recently whitewashed Pakistan in a two-match Test series, including a commanding 10-wicket victory in the first match and a six-wicket win in the second.

In an interview with Jio Cinema, Jaiswal expressed enthusiasm about playing against Bangladesh, calling it a fun challenge. He emphasized his eagerness to participate in Test matches, stating, 'I think they've been playing well. It'll be fun to match up with them, it's fun to play test matches regardless. I'm really looking forward to that.'

When asked about his consistency, Jaiswal highlighted his focus on continuous self-improvement. 'I don't overthink; I just need to prepare well and keep improving myself as a player. The more I repeat these steps, the better I'll get,' he remarked.

Speaking on the transition from domestic to international cricket, Jaiswal added, 'I have worked hard to keep up my form and continue to do so to ensure I maintain it. The more consistent I stay with my practice and preparation; my results will improve.' India is set to face Bangladesh in a two-match Test and three-game T20I series from September 19 to October 12, featuring notable Bangladeshi spinners like Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam.

The series will be followed by a three-match Test series against New Zealand from October 16 to November 5, serving as crucial preparation for the Border Gavaskar Trophy later this year. (ANI)
