Brussels Set for Thrilling Conclusion to 2024 Diamond League

The fifteenth meet of the 2024 Diamond League will unfold on September 13 and 14 at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, Belgium. As the curtain call for this year's Diamond League, the Allianz Memorial Van Damme is set to witness the world's elite athletes striving for a final triumph.
Day 1 kicks off with Indian 3000m steeplechase runner Avinash Sable making his Diamond League Final debut in Brussels. Ranked fourteenth in his discipline, Sable faces stiff competition from heavyweights like Samuel Firewu (Ethiopia), Amos Serem (Kenya), Abraham Kibiwot (Kenya), and Getnet Wale (Ethiopia). Day 2 shifts the spotlight to Paris 2024 silver medallist Neeraj Chopra in the javelin throw final. Currently fourth in standings with 14 points earned in Doha and Lausanne, Chopra will square off against points leader Anderson Peters (Grenada), bronze medallist from Paris 2024, and Germany's Julian Weber among others.
The Diamond League Final will boast athletic giants, including several world record breakers like pole vaulter Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis (Sweden), 400m hurdles star Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone (USA), and long-distance runner Faith Kipyegon (Kenya). Medallists from Paris 2024 such as 200m sprinter Letsile Tebogo (Botswana), 100m runners Sha'Carri Richardson (USA) and Julien Alfred (Saint Lucia), will also compete.
