Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid's star player, will be sidelined with a hamstring injury, the club announced on Wednesday.

An assessment by Real Madrid's medical team revealed that Mbappé has a biceps femoris injury in his left leg. The French forward's recovery will be closely monitored, although no specific timeline has been provided.

Mbappé, who scored his seventh goal of the season in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Alaves, asked to be substituted in the 80th minute due to discomfort. While coach Carlo Ancelotti initially downplayed the severity, it is now confirmed Mbappé will miss at least Sunday's derby against Atletico Madrid and could also miss France's Nations League matches.
