Chennaiyin FC targets their third away win in the Indian Super League 2024-25 as they face Punjab FC at New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The team remains unbeaten away, and coach Owen Coyle is confident they can secure a win. Key players return, bolstering Chennaiyin's chances.

Chennaiyin FC is on the hunt for their third away victory of the Indian Super League 2024-25 season, as they gear up to face Punjab FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday. The Marina Machans remain unbeaten on the road, boasting two wins and one draw in their away outings thus far.

The team is entering the clash following a 2-2 draw against FC Goa at home. A win against Punjab could catapult them to third place in the standings. Despite Punjab FC's strong start—winning three out of their four matches, with their only defeat to Bengaluru FC—Chennaiyin's coach, Owen Coyle, is confident his squad can sustain their momentum. Coyle, who recently extended his contract with CFC until 2026, recalls last year's controversial defeat in Delhi due to disallowed goals and is determined to replicate their good form on the road once more.

Key players are set to bolster Chennaiyin's lineup, with Laldinliana Renthlei returning from suspension and Jiteshwor Singh joining the team after recovering from injury. Forward Farukh Choudhary, who praised Coyle for his guidance, aims to improve his clinical finishing. Meanwhile, Ankit Mukherjee continues his rehabilitation. The teams are tied head-to-head with a win each from previous encounters.
