Former New Zealand pacer Tim Southee has officially entered the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 draft. The PSL announced Southee's participation through a post on X, celebrating the player's entry with the words, "Kiwi pace supreme Tim Southee enters the HBL PSL Draft!"

The PSL Season 10 is scheduled to kick off in Gwadar, Balochistan, starting on January 11, with games running from April 8 to May 19. Tim Southee, now 36 years old, recently played his farewell series for New Zealand during their 2-1 loss against England in the Test series, where he took six wickets over three matches.

Southee, a significant figure from New Zealand's 2008 ICC U19 World Cup lineup, has left a notable legacy in cricket. Commanding both bat and ball, he stepped away from international cricket with 776 wickets to his name, the highest by any Kiwi bowler across all formats. Southee's Test record includes 391 wickets, second only to Richard Hadlee's 431. In T20Is, Southee leads with 164 wickets, while in ODIs he ranks third among New Zealand bowlers. Despite his many achievements, Southee never secured a white-ball trophy for New Zealand, although he contributed to their World Test Championship win. His IPL career also highlights his versatility, having played for franchises such as Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.
