Amit Panghal, the only Indian male boxer to clinch a world championship silver, marks a significant career milestone as he transitions into professional boxing. At 29, Panghal has signed with the US-based talent management firm, Critical Sports and Entertainment, aiming to rejuvenate his boxing journey.

The announcement was made via Instagram by the agency, expressing excitement over Panghal's wealth of experience and champion mindset. As he awaits the allocation of his first professional bout, the Haryana boxer remains a formidable force in the 51kg category.

This move aligns Panghal with other Indian boxing greats such as Vijender Singh and Vikas Krishan, who transitioned from amateur success to professional aspirations. Despite limited international presence post-Tokyo Olympics, Panghal's determination continues to drive his professional pursuits.
