Lautaro Di Lollo scored a crucial late header that secured Boca Juniors a 1-0 win against Banfield in the Argentine Primera Division Apertura tournament. Despite being reduced to 10 men, Boca held on to clinch victory on Friday.

This victory marked Fernando Gago's first triumph in an away match after a draw against Union and a defeat at Racing Club. The win propelled Boca to third place in Group A, level on points with leaders Estudiantes and Argentinos Juniors. Meanwhile, an aggressive Banfield side was thwarted numerous times by Boca's resilient defense.

Boca, now looking ahead to Saturday's Copa Libertadores clash with Alianza Lima, received a morale boost from Di Lollo's first goal for the club. Their next domestic test will be hosting Aldosivi in the Argentine top flight.
