Veer Ahlawat's performance took a dramatic turn as he encountered a grueling third round, carding an 8-over 79 at the Magical Kenya Open. The Indian rookie slid to T-67 with one round remaining, struggling on the par-5 seventh with an unfortunate 11.

Despite showing promise with scores of 70 and 72 in his initial rounds, Ahlawat's performance was marred by several bogeys, managing just two birdies. Fellow competitor Shubhankar Sharma had already exited after missing the cut.

Meanwhile, South African golfer Jacques Kruyswijk took advantage of the conditions, delivering an outstanding seven-under-par 64, establishing himself as the leader. Kruyswijk leads by one stroke over England's John Parry, who is chasing his second victory in the 2025 Race to Dubai.
