The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) responded sternly, expressing grave concerns over the incident and maintaining its commitment to player and official safety. The individual, an Attock resident, was apprehended and later fined Rs. 50,000 after appearing in court. He received a permanent ban from all cricket venues in Pakistan.

In the match, Rachin powered New Zealand's victory with a stellar century, ensuring Bangladesh's early exit and defending champions Pakistan's group stage elimination. New Zealand is now set to face India in Dubai in their final Group A match and has secured a spot in the semi-finals.
