Virat Kohli soared in the ICC Men's Player Rankings, ascending to fifth place after a stellar 51st ODI century lead India to victory over Pakistan at the ICC Champions Trophy, Dubai.

This rise positions three Indian batters within the top five, with Shubman Gill topping the list, followed by Rohit Sharma at third. Babar Azam of Pakistan maintains second despite a subpar tournament performance.

While Kohli's progress is notable, others on the cusp of the top 10 make strides, including Young, Duckett, and Ravindra pushing up the rankings. Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Rassie van der Dussen also climbed. In the bowlers' category, Maheesh Theekshana holds the top spot despite Sri Lanka's non-participation in the tournament. Rashid Khan is close behind.

Keshav Maharaj, Matt Henry, and Adam Zampa improved their standings within the top 10 bowlers, with significant movements by Rabada and Bracewell. The latter also advanced in all-rounder rankings after an impressive showing against Bangladesh. Ravindra also saw gains, while Mohammad Nabi remains the leading all-rounder.
