The Hockey India Senior Women National Championship saw thrilling quarter-final action as Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Mizoram emerged victorious to secure their spots in the semifinals.
Jharkhand secured a 3-1 win over Madhya Pradesh, thanks to goals from captain Albela Rani Toppo, Rajni Kerketta, and Pramodni Lakra. Meanwhile, Maharashtra dominated Karnataka with a 5-0 victory, led by Akansha Singh's brace and contributions from Priyanka Wankhede, Kajal Sadashiv Atpadkar, and Yogita Bora.
In a closely fought contest, Mizoram defeated Bengal 1-0, with Deepika's lone strike in the 50th minute proving decisive.
