This 61-year-old Spanish golfer, aiming for his fourth victory this year, played an impressive mid-round at Firestone South, scoring birdies on holes 7-8 and 10-11. Despite a bogey on the 12th, Jimenez parred the remaining holes.

Steven Alker, a 53-year-old from New Zealand, matched Jimenez’s total at 8-under 202 after a solid 67. Alker aims for his tenth Champions title following a March victory at the Cologuard Classic.
