Oscar Piastri's Radio Rant: Frustration at Alpine

McLaren's Oscar Piastri humorously expressed his frustration over Alpine at the Austrian Grand Prix. After being impeded by Alpine cars, he made a joking expletive-filled remark over the radio. Piastri clarified his words stemmed from frustration and cherished relationships at Alpine despite past tensions.

McLaren's Formula One star Oscar Piastri expressed his frustration at Alpine during last weekend's Austrian Grand Prix in a humorous radio outburst. The Australian driver directed an expletive at his former employers after avoiding a collision with Alpine's Franco Colapinto.

Piastri told Reuters during a McLaren fan event in London that his comments were spur-of-the-moment frustration. He explained that being hindered by Alpine cars during qualifying and the race led to his ironic jab, but stressed his respect and friendships at his previous team.

The history between Piastri and Alpine is well-documented, with Piastri famously rejecting a 2023 seat with them. While Alpine grapples with challenges at the championship's bottom, McLaren reigns supreme, having secured last year's constructors' title.
