Hockey India unveiled a 20-member squad for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup 2025 in Hangzhou, China, set to occur from September 5 to 14. The competition doubles as a qualifying event for the 2026 FIH Women's Hockey World Cup, adding significant stakes to the tournament.

India, placed in Pool B, is scheduled to compete against Japan, Thailand, and Singapore. The Indian team's campaign begins with a match against Thailand on September 5, followed by Japan on September 6, and concluding the pool stage with Singapore on September 8. The team, captained by Salima Tete, integrates both experienced and emerging players in its roster.

The squad features goalkeepers Bansari Solanki and Bichu Devi Kharibam, with seasoned defenders like Nikki Pradhan leading the backline. Midfield strength comes from Neha and Captain Tete, while the forward line balances veterans and newcomers. Coach Harendra Singh anticipates a disciplined, aggressive game plan to compete strongly in Asia.
