Rishabh Pant is making his anticipated return to competitive cricket as he leads India A against South Africa A in a four-day clash. The match, set to begin on October 30, will take place at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, as announced by the BCCI on Tuesday.
Pant, who has been recuperating from a fractured foot incurred during the Manchester Test, will have Vice-Captain Sai Sudharsan by his side. Initially slated to return in Delhi's Ranji Trophy match against Himachal Pradesh, Pant's plans may alter with the India A game scheduled shortly thereafter.
Notably, KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj, and Dhruv Jurel are set to bolster the squad after their commitments in the one-day internationals against Australia. N Jagadeesan, Rajat Patidar, and a strong line-up of emerging talent round out the roster, preparing for a competitive face-off against South Africa A's visiting squad.
