Argentina to Bring Football Fever to Kerala with Messi Match
Kerala's Sports Minister V Abdurahiman announced that Lionel Messi and the Argentina football team will visit Kerala in March next year. The state plans to host international sports events to boost its sports economy. The original plan to host a match in Kochi this month was postponed.
Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman announced a major coup for football fans as Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team are scheduled to play a match in Kerala in March next year.
This announcement came during the state's Sports Vision 2031 event, with a confirmation email received from Argentina. However, the planned venue, Kochi's Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, faced delays due to incomplete facilities, pushing the eagerly anticipated event to next year.
The Kerala government is aiming to tap into the sports economy by hosting various international sports events. Despite scheduling hiccups, the attempt to bring such a significant football spectacle to Kerala remains a laudable effort.
