In an intense Pool A battle, Ireland emerged victorious with a 4-3 win against Canada. After taking an early lead, Ireland extended their advantage through Louis Rowe and Gregory Williams's swift field efforts. Despite Canada's late surge with goals from Leighton De Souza, they failed to break the Irish defense in the final minutes.
Elsewhere, Spain dismantled Egypt 8-0 in Pool D, powered by Bruno Avila's hat-trick and Belgium crushed Namibia 12-1. The competitive tournament is jointly hosted by Chennai and Madurai, where teams are showcasing impressive hockey skills from November 28 to December 10.
