Ahmedabad: The Future Host of 2036 Olympic Games

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed assurance that Ahmedabad will be the host city for the 2036 Olympic Games. This announcement follows Ahmedabad's successful bid for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav (MP Sports Festival), Shah urged the people of Ahmedabad to prepare for the grand event. The city is also scheduled to host many national and international sports events leading up to the Olympics in 2036.
The ceremony took place at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad. Shah emphasized the development of sports facilities, including the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, to boost Gujarat's sporting achievements. He also noted the increase in the sports budget by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
