Indian cricket sensation Rohit Sharma has carved his name into the annals of cricketing history by becoming the fourth Indian batsman to cross the 20,000 runs threshold in international cricket. The prestigious club includes cricketing legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Rahul Dravid.

Sharma, known for his exploits as an opening batsman, showcased his prowess in the third and final ODI against South Africa in Visakhapatnam. Displaying remarkable resilience, the 'Hitman' notched up a lively 75 from 73 balls, featuring seven boundaries and three sixes, with a strike rate of 102.74, marking his fourth fifty-plus score in recent matches.

This remarkable milestone was achieved in 505 matches, achieving an average of 42.47 accompanied by 50 centuries and 111 fifties. His performance extends across formats, with notable achievements in ODIs, securing 11,516 runs in 279 appearances. The match saw India strategically set up for a 2-1 series win, with significant contributions from Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav dismantling the South African innings.
