TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh condemned the event's organizers, attributing the disorder to their 'overzealousness' in crowding around Messi for selfies, leaving ticket buyers frustrated and incensed. Ghosh questioned why no punitive measures have been taken against those responsible for the disorganized event, which not only tarnished the occasion but also saw Messi forced out of the venue.

Echoing these concerns, BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya alleged that fraudulent actions by organizers with monetary motives further exacerbated the debacle, holding the state government accountable for the mishap that occurred under its watch.
