Indian mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has cemented his position atop the ICC Men's T20I Bowler Rankings, reaching a career-high rating of 818 points. This milestone comes after he secured his third consecutive two-wicket performance in the current five-match home T20I series against South Africa, according to the ICC website.

Chakravarthy's consistent performance, including a standout 2/11 from four overs in the third match at Dharamsala, played a crucial role in India's dominant seven-wicket victory. With a commanding 119-point lead over second-placed New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy, the 34-year-old also enters the all-time top 10 for highest T20I bowling ratings.

The rise in rankings comes as a timely boost for India as they prepare to defend their ICC Men's T20 World Cup title with less than two months remaining. Other notable gains include left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh climbing to 16th place and Indian batsmen Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma consolidating their top five batting positions. South African bowlers and batters have also shown progress with key players climbing significantly in the rankings.
