Bihar Cricket Association President Harsh Vardhan congratulated state bowlers Sakib Hussain and Mohammed Izhar, who were both selected by franchises in the IPL 2026 auction, as per an official BCA release. Sakib Hussain, the uncapped fast bowler, was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for his base price of Rs 30 lakh, while fellow uncapped pacer Mohammed Izhar was signed by Mumbai Indians for the same amount.
Vardhan lauded their achievements, emphasizing that their selection reflects their consistent hard work and dedication. He remains optimistic that more talented players from Bihar will be picked in the ongoing auction, providing them an opportunity to display their skills at an elite level.
