Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Darshna Rathore demonstrated exceptional skill to clinch the Senior Skeet Mixed Team gold medal at the 68th National Shooting Championship. The Rajasthan team edged out Uttar Pradesh's Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Areeba Khan in a fiercely fought contest, finishing 45-43 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range on Wednesday.
Anantjeet scored 21 hits while Darshna managed 24, overcoming the combined effort of Mairaj and Areeba, who scored 21 and 22 respectively. Rajasthan led the qualification standings with 143 hits, securing a spot in the final. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh advanced after a shootout win over Haryana.
In the Junior Skeet Mixed Team event, Telangana's Yuvek Battula and Lakku Venkat Lakshmi captured the title, narrowly defeating Madhya Pradesh. Punjab secured junior bronze by surpassing Rajasthan. As the competition progresses, excitement builds for the 10m Air Pistol Women's finals scheduled for Thursday.
