Former Indian cricket captain Ajinkya Rahane is set to inaugurate the second installment of the MCA's Cricket Kit Fair, scheduled for January 17 and 18. The event promises players direct access to cricket equipment from top manufacturers at significantly reduced prices, a successful initiative launched by the Mumbai Cricket Association last year.

MCA President Ajinkya Naik feels encouraged to continue the event due to its overwhelming reception last year. The fair aims to support players of various age groups by offering direct purchase opportunities, with discounts reaching up to 50%.

In other news, the Mumbai squad lineup for the second round of the Ranji Trophy is set to be announced. Yashasvi Jaiswal, currently part of India's ODI team but absent from the T20I series against New Zealand, is expected to participate in Mumbai's upcoming match against Hyderabad.
