The International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken crucial steps to ensure that all 42 players and officials of Pakistani descent slated to participate in the T20 World Cup in India secure their visas efficiently.
England's team includes cricketers like Adil Rashid and Rehan Ahmed, while the USA, represented by Ali Khan and Shayan Jahangir, and other nations also have players requiring visas. Visa arrangements for players from the Netherlands and Canada have been made, and further processing is underway for teams from the UAE, USA, and others. Efforts are being made to handle all applications before the January 31 deadline.
The ICC continues to coordinate efforts with Indian High Commissions worldwide, aiming for a seamless process. Assurance has been provided that remaining visa applications will be promptly addressed, ensuring that all teams can concentrate on the tournament, set to begin on February 7.
