France coach Fabien Galthie has made significant alterations to his Six Nations squad, notably excluding major players Damian Penaud, Gregory Alldritt, and Gael Fickou. The changes mark a strategic shift by Galthie as he prepares for the championship.
The return of Antoine Dupont from a severe knee injury offers a substantial boost to the team. Since March, Dupont has been out of play, recovering from a ruptured cruciate ligament which occurred during France's victory over Ireland in the 2025 Six Nations. His presence is expected to reinforce the squad.
Another significant omission is flyhalf Roman Ntamack, who is sidelined due to an unspecified injury. As France gears up to kick off their Six Nations campaign against Ireland next month, the team is focused on retaining their title.
