In a thrilling conclusion to the T20 World Cup, India emerged victorious, marking their third title win in the format's history. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner conceded that his team was outplayed by the Indians, who secured a dominant 96-run victory in the final.

Despite winning the toss and opting to bowl first, New Zealand struggled as India set an imposing target with a score of 255/5. In response, the Black Caps could only muster 159 runs, falling short of their goal as the Indian team solidified their status as a cricket powerhouse.

Santner praised India’s outstanding performance, particularly under home pressure, and commended Indian captain Surykumar Yadav and his team for their exceptional campaign. The match reaffirms India's prowess in the shortest cricket format, having previously claimed the title in 2007 and 2024.
