In a move to fortify regional collaboration, India hosted a week-long leadership programme for over 70 young leaders from BIMSTEC member countries. The event centered on regional challenges and co-creation of solutions, highlighting India's commitment to fostering cooperation in the Bay of Bengal region.
Organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and Art Of Living, the event took place from April 25 to April 30 in Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar. The programme aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledge to boost youth exchanges in the BIMSTEC region, shared during the 6th Summit held in Bangkok the previous year.
The initiative aimed to develop future leaders well-versed in systems thinking and community engagement. Introduced by India, this effort underscores the country's dedication to building a framework for sustainable regional cooperation that integrates inner well-being with leadership and collaborative problem-solving.
