Giants re-sign TE Simonson

Tight end Scott Simonson has re-signed with the New York Giants, the team announced Tuesday. The 26-year-old played in 16 games (four starts) in 2018 and caught nine passes for 86 yards and one touchdown in his first season with the Giants.

Simonson, who attended Assumption College, signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He then spent two seasons with Carolina before spending the 2017 on injured reserve with a back injury. The deal is for one year, according to NJ.com. Terms were not announced.
