Naqvi revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while initially adhering to austerity measures that minimized fuel consumption, approved the attendance of spectators for the PSL 11 Final. The move was made after requests from franchise owners.

The announcement comes as the PSL league phase ends, with Peshawar Zalmi leading the standings. Pakistan, which is navigating a fuel crisis linked to conflicts affecting global oil routes, has also played a role in mediating talks between the U.S. and Iran.
