India bans vaping, including the sale, production, import, and advertisement of e-cigarettes. The IPL deemed Parag's actions a breach of the conduct regulations meant to uphold the game's integrity. The player accepted the charge and the penalty handed down by match referee Amit Sharma.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India is reportedly considering stricter measures against both the player and team officials to maintain the IPL's esteemed reputation amid this vaping incident.
