In an impressive debut, Yuvraj Sandhu delivered one of the strongest opening rounds at the Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya, securing a 3-under 69. This performance places him firmly within the top ten after day one of the DP World Tour event.

Fellow Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma also maintained a steady pace, posting a 2-under 70 that ties him for 22nd position. Leading the tournament, Sweden's Mikael Lindberg shot a flawless, bogey-free round of 66, achieving a one-shot lead as he aims for a spot in the US PGA Championship.

Lindberg began his back nine at one under par but propelled himself forward with an impressive series of birdies, including four in his final six holes, reaching six under at Antalya's National Golf Club. Sandhu's round experienced both challenges and triumphs, starting positively with an early birdie but recovering impressively after consecutive bogeys to finish strong. Sharma's round was a mix of highs and lows, featuring birdies, an eagle, and three bogeys. Lindberg, whose recent performance at the Volvo China Open boosted him to eighth in the Asian Swing Rankings, eyes a top-three finish to secure his spot in the upcoming US PGA Championship.
