Meanwhile, Shubhankar Sharma overcame a challenging stretch to make the cut. Despite his struggles, including three bogeys and a double bogey over five holes, Sharma shot a 3-over 75 and secured his position in the tournament, now tied 57th.

Taking the lead into the weekend is Italy's Gregorio De Leo, who carded an impressive five birdies, one bogey, and a second round 68 to achieve a clubhouse target of seven under, just ahead of competitors like Alejandro Del Rey and Jens Dantorp.
